Quicktime Can't play MOV files ????

I have a strange problem with my mac (dp800), first Quicktime fails to load Mov files, can't play trailers from apple's website, etc..
I tried reinstalling quicktime, trashing the prefs, nothing worked.

My mac takes a looong while to boot to. It sticks to the apple logo screen a long time..

Is your Transport Settings on Quicktime using UDP or HTTP?

It has nothing to do with it. I can't open saved trailers on my hd or any other .mov files. iMovie relies on quicktime to so imovie can't open .mov files to..

The "long time to boot" problem sounds like you're having disk problems. Boot off the install CD and run Disk Utility to repair your boot drive, it sounds like you have something very wrong with your machine.
