My Keyboard preference panel seems to have disappeared. It's not on the Hardware line in Preferences!!!

I've rebooted, with no luck.

This just recently happened. I don't have any odd peripherals. Apple keyboard with a MS Intellipoint mouse. Again, this config has never been an issue before in X, X.1 and until recently in X.2.3.

Dual G4 533MHZ
1gig of RAM
Apple keyboard/MS Intellipoint mouse
FW Que! Burner

That's it!!!!

Any ideas?

So ....

Here's the Console message I get when double click on the Keyboard.prefPane in /System/Library/PreferencePane

2003-02-06 08:56:48.294 System Preferences[502] Could not find preference at path /System/Library/PreferencePanes/Keyboard.prefPane

Does this help?

Apparent "loss" of pref panes is a well-known bug that results from a corrupted cache file.
Simply delete ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.preferencepanes.cache and you'll have all your pref panes show up again.
