Hi all,
Just posted this query on the Apple OSX discussion list, and thought I'd try here too.
I've just come across a really weird problem with my new PB. When I ran Norton Utilities, it found a major problem with a file located in Library/caches/Desktop Pictures folder. The problem is stated as "incorrect data logical length", and requires that i boot from a Norton CD to fix it. OK. So I do. I run Disk Doctor and fix it. I reboot from my HD, run Norton again to be sure it's gone, and lo and behold the same file has reappered and is causing the same problem.
I believe this problem is ColorSync related because the file, named (my computer).4270840 bears the same number as my LCD's ColorSync profile. I've tried trashing the cache file, even tried trashing the display profile, but no luck. Every time I start up my machine, these files reappear, and Norton flags the cached file.
I'm also wondering if this problem has anything to do with the fact my PB won't wake up when it's been asleep for over 20 min. I've been noticing A LOT of discussion on this issue in some PB-related threads...
Cheers, lepwisk
