I have a quicksilver 867. i have a geforce 3 card with adc and vga out. i have a 15" apple display hooked up and i just got my new 15" vga display. i can't get both of them to work at the same time. there is no arrangment tab in the display section of the system prefences. the display works because when i disconnect the apple display and reboot the new lcd works fine. i can't get both to work at once. help!

You don't have a TwinView card. Just because you have two video ports doesn't mean you can hook up two monitors.

You need another video card.

You'll either want to purchase a secondary PCI video card or replace the GeForce 3 or another unit with dual display output. Keep in mind that you only will get Quartz Extreme if you are using one in an AGP slot, so the PCI option would lack that capability.

chances are that your 2mx isn't a twinview card either.
the 2mx twinview was an option or standard on higher spec machines.

If you got a QS right when they came out, I don't believe that they came with 2MX Twin Views. I got a Digital Audio 733 that came with the standard 2MX, it arrived in April of 2001. The 3 came out in shipping quantities that early summer.

There is upside though, if you were to sell the GeForce 3 & 2MX, you might even have enough for a 4Ti. I love mine.
