Im on 56k, and ive been trying to download the combo 10.2.3 update. Now its got like right to the end. And it just stays there. Its stuck there for an hour now. Is there anyway to get it to finish? Ive tried download checked items to desktop.

I'm not sure what to do in this situation. However, in the future I'd recommend using a program like Speed Download or anything else that can resume downloads. Of course you won't be able to use Software Update, you'll have to manually download it from Apple site.

Are you sure it's still downloading? It may just be optimizing after installing. That always takes a while.

Try trashing the software update caches and redownloading it. The same thing happened to me a couple months ago and a corrupted file in teh su cache was causing it to freeze.

Also try emptying the Safari disk cache.
