Anyone ever had this happen to them before? See image. Both were relaunchable and so forth, didn't seem to make any difference to anything but interesting nonetheless.

Odd, I haven't seen anything like that before.

Perhaps they are clones of each other...

its happened to me, only way to get them to close is to close both real fast and let 1 open.

it happened indeed, when closing a stalled one, and then opening a new one.

didn't try that, I didn't have anything important running so logged out and one was shut down.

I've had a similar encounter with my G4 but somehow I managed to get 3 finders running at once (2 were red) and another time I used my G4 for an hour with no finder running at all. Just relaunch finder until it fixes itself, it worked for me.

see 3 finders

On an unrelated note you beige button doesn't change the background to beige, it stays white...
