I installed and finally got workng MySQL on Mac OS X Server 10.1, and now only the main site/first Virtual Host comes up. all the other sites, and /`username come up with 404 not found.

I have restored the httpd.comf to how it was before (commenting out the php stuff, and taking out the index.php and also uncommenting out the os x server mime file), but everything is still not showing up

HELP what do I do. these are clients sites, and they have now been down for over 3 hours. also we chasnged the server name in the hostconfig and changed that back and the sites are still not coming up

HELP

I'm not an apache person so I can't answer the question, but the first thing I do is go see what errors are being generated in the Apache logs.

Oh, and I'd setup a test webserver to test things on before making changes to a production server.

I have had this problem in the past it is Virtual host issue.

I run OSX client so I may be different for the OSX server.

Here are my suggestions:

1- uncommon the php and mime details
2- Look that under Netinfo Manager your Machines/www.themissinghost.com settings are correct.
3- Run /path_to_your_apache_install/bin/apachectl -t run syntax check for config files
4- test your virtual host, I cannot remember but its in the Apache Virtual host documentation, it checks that all is cool.
5- Look at error logs.

You will in all the above find your answer. Best of luck. Also next time post in the OSX Developer forum not OSX General.
