How can I see my build number? And what is the latest build number (OS X 10.2 line)? Thank you.

Apple menu -> About this mac

then click the version of the OS, that will tell you build number.

10.2.3 is the latest offical build.

Time to get 10.2.4 and the same build number on every Mac. :-) (If that is the only reason to get it)

In case you didn't know, in the About This Mac window, if you click on "Version 10.2.3" <or whatever> it will then switch to Build ID, and if you click again, you get your machine's serial number.

In summary, 6G30 is the build of the official, golden master version of 10.2.3. If you are using a 2003 model Mac, then the build will be higher since these models require special support for their new technologies (FireWire 800, AirPort Extreme, Built-In BlueTooth, etc).
