Hi All,

I am trying to find a way to limit user disk space with multiple users. I heard something about using CLI and Quota, but I tried a man search but nothing. Has anyone ever done this and if so how. I have users who are using up gigs and I need to stop it. I don't want to delete thier data.

This doesn't look fun, but here is a link that might help you out.

Good Luck

I can hear the goose-steps getting closer.

Looks like it would be really good for folks who have kids that want to suck down ever MP3 on the internet.

It's way beyond anything that I would try to do. Looks like it would make for a great piece of shareware.

I also found this.

It seems a disk quota system might be part of OSX Server. I wonder if they slapped a pretty face on it? Something you might want to look into if this is for your job and your employeer can pay for it.

I think this is only for web accounts when you are using Mac OS X as a web server.

Thanks, for all the info.

I do not want to rebuild the kernel, and the other looks promising.
I will try it on a test machine first.
