My xterm window is under the menu bar and I can't move it. Also, gnumeric won't resize. I didn't have these problems in version 1. Any ideas?

You need a window manager. Without a window manager running, this will happen. Are you using Apple's implementation? If so, you should have their aqua wm.

ACSA 10.4/10.3, ACTC 10.3, ACHDS 10.3

More specifically, try typing:

exec quartz-wm &

from the terminal.
