I've posted before with no response. Sorry it's rather dull.

I'm often getting a 'Connection script has failed' alert when trying to open Internet Explorer. The thing I find so frustrating is the way that these alerts continue to appear, effectively freezing my machine.

Even when I'm connected to my homepage and the connection script has clearly NOT failed, the alerts still keep coming at a rate of knots. Eventually things settle.

Is this more a question for my ISP? Is there any way to prevent OS X from repeatedly trying to do things it obviously can't manage at that moment?

Thanks.

OS 10.1.3, I/Ex 5.1, ADSL, Ethernet modem
