Last week I did a singler user boot and fscked my hard disk and found an overlapped extent allocation error. As far as I understand hard disks (not much) this means two files are in the same place (so of course one or both are corrupted).
I ran Disk Warrior and it found them and fixed up lots of other things. Luckily they were files I didn't need so I dumped both.
My question is:
Could I have found which files overlapped by some easier method than Disk Warrior?
Its great but it takes quite awhile to run and build the new directory.
