I was thinking that it would be great if in Safari we could right-click an image and save it to iPhoto, same for audio, save it to iTunes, etc.
What other ideas do people have for Safari integration with other apps.
Keychain and Mail for sure.

Right click EH?
hehe
As far as right clicking it's EVIL... as far as intigration... unless you're a stumbling idiot you can probably do this easily through a few menus... and a lot of audio can't be saved unless you download it from your cache and to many people would try and save flash audio too and junk...

Here's a load of Applescripts for Safari, including one which will "import a JPEG or GIF image which is open in its own Safari window into your iPhoto collection."
Also notice that if you right click on a link to a mp3 file it gives you the option to open it in iTunes, etc.
Considering this is still the beta I think this boads well for more integration in the future.

I already noticed some integration happening after I dled the latest beta... for instance if you right click (yes right click chicken) a mp3 or mov file you will either get "open with itunes" or "open with quicktime player" respectively, I thought that was kinda cool.

How do you get the scripts to show up in Safari? Doing it iTunes-style doesn't add the script menu to the menu bar.

I would like to be able to right click (or Control-Click for the multi-button mouse challenged) an image and make it my desktop pic. Windows has done this for a long time now.
Or right clicking a link and being able send the link via email (bring up a blank email with the link in the body).
That's all I can think of at the moment.

This is the kind of thing that is available as a service rather than hard coded integration. You can select a link at the moment and go to
Safari>Services>Mail>Send Selection
I realise that this isn't as simple as right clicking, but if the Services menu was in the contextual menu instead of the Application menu, then we'd be sorted.

You need to use the Applescript menu extra (located in the Applescript folder in Applications). Put the downloaded Safari Scrips folder into the directory ~/Library/Scripts and it should show up in the Applescript menu extra menu.
(Also I think you need do download the Applesript GUI beta to use the iPhoto/Safari script)
