hey all!

so, besides starting from scratch, is there anyway to downgrade back to 10.2.3 from 10.2.4?

i ask, because it seems like the upgrade broke some software i was using (pixela's PixeDV, got it with ADS Instant DVD for Mac box), and seeing as how this software isn't even being sold by itself yet, i don't know how long it will be until pixela puts out a patch.

thanks,

tr

Basically, if you can't figure out how to downgrade without asking here, the answer is no. Even if you did know how, it's still pretty much a 50/50 proposition. That's why the first partition on my hard drive is reserved for Mac OS X *only*. If something gets f'd up, I can just erase one partition and I'm only out an hour or so.

hey, i was just wondering...so if i can't figure out how to change a tire, without asking someone who works on cars, then i guess i'm stuck with a flat? it doesn't hurt to ask, you know. maybe someone knows something i don't.

and i do have X on it's own partition.

He meant that it's so hard to do that if you don't alreay know how, you'd probably save a lot of time just doing it the old-fashioned way.

I personally wouldn't bother trying to downgrade. Just bite the bullet and reinstall. Now that there's an "archive and install" option, it's not so bad.

If you could back up a image of the system, would that work?

I'm pretty sure the only way is to "Archive and Install," and then update to 10.2.3.
