Occasionally when my system goes to sleep it won't wake up completely. I mean I can hear my hard drive spin up but then the system just sits there. I have to force a shutdown but everything is OK after I power up. Has anybody else experience this and have you got a solution for it? Thanks in advance.

There was/is a problem like this with some oem and cpu upgraded Cubes in Jag.
Holding the power button in for a minute or so sometimes helped wake up the display.
It was fixed for me by .3 (oem Cube).

There is no OEM CPU here. I'm running original equipment.

By OEM, I meant original equipment. What machine are you running? Is it a Cube?

I have the same problem, on an iMac DV SE running 10.2.4. You mean just holding the power button down got the screen to come back?

This was the thread. The trick was to press and release the Cube's power button several times. Not sure if that would work with towers.

If you hold the power button down the machine will shutdown. And then when you power it back everything is OK.
