Hi all,
So, here's how I have my system set up: TIBook with an external monitor, keyboard, mouse. I always start up my TIBook and then immediately close the lid so that the monitor is the main display. Now, if I start the TiBook on its own, it's smart enough to bring up a different desktop image. However, if I put the TiBook to sleep, and then plug in the monitor, the TiBook is smart enough to move the display to the monitor, but it doesn't refresh the desktop image. Instead it just shows a pale blue background. If I go into System Prefs, it shows that the background image SHOULD be there, but I have to select a different one, and then the one it's supposed to be for it to set properly. Anyone find a workaround for this? Thanks.

Mike

Yea, this is a bug. I've gotten the same thing to happen on my 550 with 10.2.3 and .4

I'm guessing 10.3 will fix it. Heh.

Ditto with my iBook 600 after using the AV output to a TV.

Thanks. I guess I'll just have to live with it.

I was having the same problem with my tibook 400. I already had 10.2.4 on it, but I downloaded the combo update and reinstalled it. At this time it looks like the problem is fixed. I have only tested it twice, but it worked both times.

I have heard that some people were having problems with the 10.2.3-.4 updater that is why I gave the combo a shot.

Hope this helps others who are having this propblem.
