I inherited a TiBook 800 (1GB RAM, 60GB hard drive, OS X 10.2.4) from my boss as a replacement for my extraordinarily reliable but aging TiBook 400. Unfortunately, this new machine is giving me a shocking amount of trouble. I've experienced freezes, disk corruption (thank you DiskWarrior sneak peek for fixing that one...), and frequent kernel panics. I've looked at the panic.log file, but the backtraces contained within don't mean anything to me. Any chance I could get someone out there to translate for me?

Could be a memory problem, but I don't have a clue really. Perhaps you should remove one of the RAM chips and see if the panics remain?

Are there any USB devices connected?

Sounds like a memory problem. Replace your RAM with RAM from a PowerBook (or PC notebook) that is known to work and check out whether or not you still get kernel panics.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

I doubt it's to do with USB as there are no kexts in the backtrace. RAM is probably the most likely culprit.
