I have a fink installation running with a few packages installed, including a perl distribution. CPAN has a more recent version of a perl module that I am interested in. I've never used CPAN before. How does it interact with fink and the directory structure of fink?

thanks,
kman

I'd suggest asking this in the unix forum.

Could a mod please move this to the unix forum?

So, I tried to install the most recent version of bioperl using cpan. I'm not very familiar with cpan and am having trouble finding out where it installed everything and how it will interact with my Apple-installed Perl and my fink installed older version of bioperl. I think may have just created a big mess.
