Umm... do you have the mail servers configured right on the problematic machine? Is there any sort of firewall running on the router machine?

yes mail is fine in the problem machine,
If I disconnected the main, to let the other one be the main, it gets mail w/out problems, but when it connects with the shared connection mail just cant be sent.
There is no firewall in the other machine, is just connected.
This is really anoying.

Okay, that adds another dimension to it.

Post your network configuration here for me - IP, gateway, blah blah, for both machines, and give me the name of the hub/router, etc. I suggest you don't post external IP information here... send it to me via email or something. Or ICQ, AIM, whatever.

Try something, on the problem machine, go in terminal and type this:
telnet smpt.yourmailserver.com 25 <enter>

once you are connected type this in order:
ehlo yourdomainprovider.com <enter>*no mistake here it's realy ehlo*
mail from you@youremail.com <enter>
rcpt to you@youremail.com <enter>
data <enter>

After the DATA command you can type your email, to send it you need to go on a new line "enter" and enter a periode . at the beginning of the line.
