is it possible to take a snapshot of yoru desktop while playing a movie with the DVD Player? I tried apple+shift+3 and it doesnt work, please help! is there a way to do this?

Play the movie in VLC instead: http://videolan.org/

Snapz Pro X will also work if you've got an nVidia GPU in your Mac.

But VLC is good, and even has support for menus as of 0.5.0.

I've been able to take snapshots of DVDs playing in Apple DVD Player in my TiBook (Radeon 9000) using the 'screenshot' command in the Terminal.

There's also a program called "DVD Capture" that works well (should be available on VersionTracker).
