Hi,

I've searched around but can't find any reference to this problem which is driving me mad!

Periodically (like every half hour or so), mail will write something to disk. During this time the entire computer slows down to a crawl (the dock is unresponsive, all applications suddenly stop what they are doing). The whole process can take 5-10 seconds, after which everything is back to normal.

Anyone know what is going on and/or how to fix it? My mail boxes are quite big (in box 80 MB sent box 130 MB). Could that be the problem?

Cheers

by the way this in on a G4 cube with 256 MB ram and 10.2.4
What? There's an on-
switch on the printer?
