can't open classic within 10.2.3

	i installed 10.2.3 with no problems, but when i open classic mode, it starts for a second, then the evil black hand pops up with: 'The system software on the startup disk only functions on the original media, not if copied to another drive." I've done a clean install of 9.2 on both of my drives, and nothing works. I can't even go back to 9.2 as a startup disk, as I get the same message. any ideas woulod be great. No one anywhere seems to know anything about this mysterious message. ( There is no error number either). Thanks! jon
