Can no longer boot my 733Mz G4 Powermac from the above mentioned Firewire drive. This makes running Norton and transfering files difficult. Has anyone else experienced this?

(My appologies if there is already a thread on this...)

did it stop working after you did anything new or different to/with it?

apart from not being bootable, does it mount at all?

have you ran disk utility on it to check the drive's integrity?

It shows up fine when I boot from the internal drive. I also ran Norton and Diskwarior and it don't see any problems.

the os x version of norton sucks. don't use it, because installing it causes more problems than it solves. disk warrior should be fine.

try reformatting the drive with disk utility. formatting will erase all data from the vst drive, so be sure you have what you want off of it.
