Haven't yet had a prob with safari, but just a minute ago I went to launch it from dock and just before browseer window opened, dialog box pops up tellingg me safari has unexpectedly quit. Tried again...same. tried original app...same. tried the updated 2-13-03 version..same. Rebooted, tried again..same. Have not reinstalled yet, prrob do that next. wanted to know if others had this prob, and if figured out possible reason.

Have you tried deleting the pref file?
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist

If that doesn't work, is it for all users or just the one?

that exact thing happened to me. it worked in other user accounts but not the admins. So i just trashed the prefs and now it works.

finally trashed prefs, now works thank god...ie is soooooooo slooooooo.
