I asked this question before upgrading to .1, .2 and .3 so here I am repeating myself but I waited so long for the iSub to become functional in OS X that I do not want to take a chance. Those of you running 10.2.4 and the iSub, is everything OK with the iSub?

Yes, no problem. Still does not mute with the mute button but volume goes up and down with the volume keys.
Yes, I know I could buy a PC, but why?

I have 10.2.4, I have an iSub (with SoundSticks). It works. I don't have volume keys, but the volume control in the menubar works perfectly.

That is actually the Subwoofer of the SoundSticks and not the iSub. They look similar but are different devices. The iSub has no controlls and is attached to the Mac through USB.
The SounsSticks have allways worked with OS X (afaik).
The stand alone iSub, designed for the (CTR) iMac, wasn't supported until 10.1. In 10.2 it got a volume controll in the sound preferences.

In 10.2.4 there are no problems with the iSub. You can ajust the iSub volume and mute it in the sound preferences.

Even in the German version?

A friend has an iSub, and he's been running his iMac in English (though he doesn't speak English well at all) because the iSub controls don't show up in the German sound preferences.

This is fixed as of 10.2.4? Finally? A year after he bought his iSub (in Germany)?

No, you can't mute the iSub with the system language set to German.
But you can change the volume - just grab the slider on the tip

You don't have to use English as system language to change the iSub volume. Only the app Systempreferences has to be in English to change the settings. After changing the settings you can switch back to German. If you change the settings on a daily basis just remove the German localisation form the Systempreferences app.

Thanks for that. But the slider so far just refused to work at all. Reinstall didn't help, either.

I'll check it out next time I'm there.

Hab Dank!

It only works in a very small area on the tip of the slider.

Es funktioniert nur in einem kleinen Bereich an der äussersten Spitze des Schiebers.

Viel Erfolg.
