My control key quit working at the terminal in UNIX.

One day a week or two back (perhaps after I installed 10.2.4, I'm not sure), I got an error message when I fired up Terminal. It had something to do with the keyboard (something about not finding the file it needed).

Now my control key doesn't work. I used to use CTRL-U all the time to clear my mistakes. Is there anything I can do to get the preferences rebuilt or something along those lines?

Thanks
