The first vote AGAINST Print Explosion.

Bought it last year as a Print Master/Print Shop(PC) replacement. Wow, what a horrible program!

Want to draw a line? Like most other drawing programs, there is a line tool. Not PE - there is no line tool. Instead you have to insert a Basic Shape, which is a bitmap of your line and scales with any resizing.

Want to add text? Hit the text tool and then you go through a maze of options to get the text right. Why not just let you type in the box (like Word, AppleWorks, etc.) and then do the formatting there?

Want to use a font? Oops, PE only supports TrueType fonts.

I could go on and on about how poor this program is compared to it's PC counterparts. I seriously wish I never wasted the $50 on the program - it sits unused and I do my work like that in Word or AppleWorks.

I'd check into Print Shop for Mac. It's pretty pricey ($60) and a Classic app, but it's bound to be better than the POS PE is. And, if enough people buy it, maybe Broderbund will Carbonize/OSX it.

If memory serves, Brøderbund is coming out with a Print Shop Deluxe for Mac OS X in the not-too-distant future.

$70 when the PC version is $30 to start with? No thanks.

$49 or $35 for the Deluxe version. I think I've seen the Mac version at MacWarehouse or someplace else for $59.
