WHY THE #E!! DO WEB BROWSERS ACT SO RETARDED?
Say I type in a web address and press ENTER. I then decide, while the page is loading, that I don't really wanna go there. I then click in the NAV BAR and enter another address, but before I can press ENTER, the current page has already loaded. Well, this in itself isn't a problem. But, why does it re-enter the last web pages name in the NAV BAR interrupting my typing?!?!?!?! WTH?!?!?! DON'T YOU THINK I KNOW WHAT PAGE I DIDN'T WANNA GO TO?!?! AND WHY DO I CARE?!?!?! Once I press ENTER in the NAV BAR, there should be no interaction at all between itself and the BROWSER WINDOW!!! Now you may say "just press cancel", well I say "YOU SUCK!!!" I should not have to compensate for some programmers obvious effort to make things act retarded.

WHY THE $#!+ DO APPS LOCK THE GUI BASED ON NETWORK RESPONSE?
I mean, 99.9999999% of apps out there do this. Let's say I go to PRINT CENTER and try to add a printer. Well, I'm forced to sit there until it decides what it's going to do. IT'S CALLED THREADING PEOPLE!!!! LEARN IT, USE IT!!!! I should not have to wait for a response for a query you sent out on the network just because RENDEZVOUS was the DEFAULT SELECTION in your app!!!!! >:o

. . .I need a drink. . .

A computer without Windows is like a cake without mustard. . .

All you need to do is hit command-. before you start typing the new address - that'll stop it from loading the new page/replacing what you type.

Use IE. AFAIK, it's the one browser that doesn't have that problem.

I agree EebyGeeby...adding in this kind of user-friendlyness of not interrupting user input in the URL field would make the world a better place.

1 point to MS (I can't believe I'm saying this) for being the first and probably only to do this.

Safari doesn't do that. Chimera definitely does. It drove me nuts.

IE (5.5, 6) on the PC does this, and yes, it drives me nuts. So not exactly a whole point for MS there
