Energy Saver settings on every mac i have ever used have always been set to 'NEVER' Sleep. This is still the case.

I have noticed however (10.2.4 , dual 500 no external periph's) when i setup a download at nite that will take many hours and leave the computer my display goes to sleep (black-dead no screen saver working) a few hours after the screen saver 'flurry' has been activated. When i hit any key in the morning the display wakes up but the computers is no-responsive. ie unable to click on anything dock included.....force quit does nothing an the machine is required to be reset.

Has anyone experienced this? To summarize, Energy Saving pref is set to 'Never' for ALL parameters. Yet after hours of inactivity the display goes to sleep. The display is a standard Apple 17' Graphite CRT
