I really don't understand what's happened... i try to install webalizer, and from that point i cannot shut down web share....the button remain gray when i push stop...."disattiving...." but nothing end.... how can i do?
if i restart web sharing is of..ok.... but!!!
please help me

Go to the command line and do:

apachectl status

If it's running, do:

sudo apachectl stop

If you want to see why you're having a problem, do:

sudo apachectl configtest
