Does anyone know if it is possible (via plug-in of some kind, I suppose) to make OS X contextual menus, when used in text applications or text fields, include "cut," "copy," and "paste"? I love this feature of Windows -- I can always just highlight text, right click on the highlighted material to cut or copy, then move to the destination, right click and select "paste." No keyboard or extraneous mouse movement.

In every case I can think of, they do include Cut, Copy and Paste. Can you provide some examples of text fields with contextual menus that don't provide this functionality?
Though personally, I prefer the old-fashioned command-C, click, command-V.

I certainly hope that I haven't lost my mind entirely (and I'm on my work peecee now, so I can't verify that my mind is still operational), but IE and Safari don't include cut/copy/paste in their contextual menus, do they? I frequently want to quickly paste a passage from a web page into something else, and contextual cutting/pasting would make it easier. Also, it makes it easier to copy and paste a non-hyperlinked web link.
On Windows, it seems (though I'm not sure), to be an OS-level feature, not an application-specific thing. I can pretty much always highlight text and then copy/cut with a right-click in any application, or put my cursor in a text field anywhere and paste with a right click.

Safari and Chimera < Camino > both have cut - copy - paste in contextual menus for edit fields. You can also copy any text in safari and Chimera in static text fields.

I guess I have just lost my mind. Maybe IE doesn't have it, and until Safari, I was mainly using IE. All I know is that there have been repeated instances of my looking for it and not finding it. I'll see tonight.
(Even if implemented in Safari, I would really like it if OS X emulated Windows on this point <flame retardant suit on> -- that is, an OS-level feature that is always available in all applications.)

IE has contexual copy of text, but no paste. Additionally, if there was OS level support, it would possibly interfere and override what a developer has put in their application. I use contextuals in several apps I created and would not want the OS making them for me.
