hey, i was wondering if anyone knew of a good way to quickly change the file types (currently ????) of a group of files to something else (perhaps TXT)?

any quick tips would be appeciated...

Here's the direction where to look... but it doesn't give you the full answer.

There are a number of batch utilities like this available on Version Tracker.

You might also want to look at man SetFile for a command line approach.

...yeah, i ended up using an applescript, however SetFile is exactly what i was looking for. i knew it existed but didn't know the name. thanks.
