Hi,

my current boot HD is 10Gig and I have bought a 40Gig replacement (I have an 80 as a data HD too)

How do I copy all of the files from the 10 to the 40 - including all invisible files etc - so that I can boot from the 40?

Just did the same (more or less) a couple of days ago, Mike Bombich's Carbon Copy Cloner is the tool for you!

Make sure you restart before 'cloning'. Experience has taught me (or a friend of mine actually) that it's better not to continue working while you clone.

Could you elaborate on this? I use CCC a lot and would be interested in problems due to working while cloning... Thanks.
