I have multiple accounts on my machine at work in the Mail.app (two business accounts, one personal). Is it possible to "lock" that one personal (POP) account, so that if someone else comes along and clicks on my personal mail box a password will be required?

I know that you can delete the keychain for it, and this part works upon opening Mail, but even though I hit cancel and it tells me I won't have access to that specific account, it still shows what is there, already saved on the HD.
I want the ability to sleep in the snow, if I have to. I want the ability to want to.

I don't know of anyway to do this other than logging out or using a different user account for your work and personal stuff. Not ideal, I know. Or you could lock your screen using the keychain utility.

Indeed. If a computer is used by serveral people, and someone is not allowed to see oneothers proprietary, you should use mutiple accounts (as in, multiple system accounts).

Anyway, this belongs in Software
iMac G5 2.0 Ghz 20", 2 GB RAM, 400 GB, OS X 10.4.5, iPod with color screen 60 GB

This is what I'd do - or create a separate "personal" user for the computer as well as a "work user" and just usually keep the "work user signed on.
