soo... I got my 'true' USB cable from Sprint today (rebranded)... took forever..

and I can't get it to work... recognized immediately, but it doesn't want to work with a) the old modem script I was using - auCDMA C413S by Sony or b) the Sprint PCS modem script - downloaded from some guy's site or c) the PCS Vision script that came with the OSX..

I remember reading that I should change the settings on my phone to [data in]-USB
[speed]-230400

as opposed to the com port and slower speed I had been using when I had the serial/USB converted cable from FutureDial

anyhow, can't get it to work yet, maybe you have an idea or whatnot..

can you point me to a thread where someone's gotten it working with the cable that I have? that'd be sweet

just checking in...

Drew:

Hey there, good to hear from you.

Try using the other [Data In] port...it's like "RCS (COM)" or something like that.

Are you dialing the #777 w/ "web/web" as user name/login?

Thanks.

yo.. yea, i tried a couple of times with the com port selected, i even tried the exact settings i was using before with the converted cable, but to no avail.. i thought the sporatic connections i had before would not happen with this cable, but maybe so.. who knows.. I'll keep tryin'

oh, and yea.. #777 and web/web

Try this forum site:

http://www.wirelessadvisor.com/wafor...amp;zb=2277491

Just search for "Data Cable" or look through the pages...there are quite a few topics that may help you.

It's worth a shot.
