PLEASE... Anybody.

My Menu Bar Clock and Internet Connect (dial-up) status are no longer showing in my Menu Bar, after using the latest version of Transparent Dock in 10.2.4.

WeatherPop and ShowDesktop still show in the Menu Bar, as do the application-specific menu list items... But no clock and no internet status.

Of course, I've tried checking "Show Date and Time in Menu Bar" under System Preferences>Date & Time>Menu Bar Clock.

And, of course, I've tried checking "Show Modem Status in Menu Bar" in the Internet Connect app.

I've also tried deleting the following:
com.apple.clock.plist
com.apple.MenuBarClock.plist and...
com.apple.modemmenuextra.plist

Nothing is working. Someone please share a fix that doesn't involve reinstalling the OS.

By the way, Vanity Dockling also no longer works, since this problem began. I was restoring the original Dock, from a transparent one when this happened.

Sorry for rambling!

just drag the following to the menu bar:

/System/Library/CoreServices/Menu\ Extras/Clock.menu

/System/Library/CoreServices/Menu\ Extras/PPP.menu

Thx Philzilla. Turns out it was a problem with my SystemUIServer being corrupt. Seems a 10.2.3-compatible theme overwrote the file. Swiz, on the MacNN GUI Customization Forum, steered me straight.

Thx again to both of you for lending a hand.

I should stay away from Transparant Dock, I installed it once and it didn't remember my added icons and booted up with the standard set every time. Now I use insanitys cleardock. Works fine.

Just a little hint... if the SystemUI Server is dead, type (or copy) the following into the Terminal to restart it:
Code:
kill -HUP `ps -auxc | grep SystemUI | grep -v grep | awk '{print $2}'`
PM G4 DP 500 MHz, 768 Mb, DVD-ROM, 85 Gb, Mac OS X 10.3.9
PB G4 1.25 GHz, 512 Mb, DVD-R, 80 Gb, Mac OS X 10.4
