Hi,

Anyone know how to make Safari use an external editor, such as BBEdit to view source? This might not be possible, I was just curious.

Thanks!

Joe Gruber posted an article about how to do that very thing on his website back in January.

The rest of his site is well worth checking out so spend some time going through the older posts.

I use WebSharing to build my websites locally, on account of the SSIs and such. Is there a way in Safari, as in OmniWeb with its own text editor, to tell BBEdit to open the currently displayed page (say http://127.0.0.1/index.html) from the location on the web server (/Volumes/Swan/Sites/index.html)?

It's Script Menu. It's included w/Jaguar (look in the AppleScript folder under Applications). It's a free download from Apple's site if you're running an earlier version of X.
