Hi Guys,

I ll take a second here and clarify that It would be nice to live all together in enough space were people preffered their OS and others would appreciate them.

So I have some Mac OS X Server/Windows 2000 R3 clients/Mac Os X client questions, and I would like to go in there and with an open mind trluy say "Your Solution is a Windows 2000 Active Directory Domain server enviroment or a Mac OS X Server iserve enviroment.

Most of the applications are Windows apps, but security and ease of use matter when it comes to know who is on the server and what can be added easily to run it. Even if you are a South Park character that looks at the computer monitor screen and blinks an eye.

So I am asked to buy a new server and I either go with a Dell/Compaq server or I go with xserve.

ok this is what xserve needs to reproduce on the windows 2000 clients machine:

Machine turns on logs on to Active Domain "company.local" it receives from it the "Desktop" - "Documents" and " Setiings" folder from the server were these folders are located.

Can I have this happen in the windows 2000 clients if the server was Xserve?

Open to suggestion from Admin point of view, Unix Shell, NetInfo, Active Directory on Os X Server

.... no comments on why, just if it can be done or not

Thanks

P.S. Maybe some comments on why eheheh..
