I'm trying to export a mail folder from Entourage on Mac OSX to Outlook on Windows 2000. Lots of websites out there showing how to perform the reverse of this, but I can't see any clear steps as to how I might do this.

I can literally pull the mail folder from Entourage onto the desktop, creating "mailfolder.mbox" (it seems this is some unix mail standard?). Anyway, I obviously need to convert that .mbox file into a .pst file for Outlook to understand it.

Has anyone done this before? Any help/comments much appreciated.

Give that a shot, see if any of the suggested articles or insight help.

not the most elegant way, but it seemed to import everything without a hitch.

1) drag folder from entourage to desktop

2) import .mbox file into Netscape Communicator 4.7 (didnt work with latest versions for some reason) mail program

3) open outlook express, and choose the import from netscape option

4) open outlook (i was using outlook 2000) and import mail settings from outlook express

for some reason Outlook didnt like importing from Netscape mail, or importing .mbox files. perhaps i was missing something?
any-ho....this worked for me. Would have setup an IMAP server, but the network guy here ddnt want o have a bar of it
