I love the Cocktail app but since downloading 1.1 I get this error message...

Applescript error!
Can't make some data into the expected type. (-1700)

...and I don't get a word of that...

I think there are some bugs in this version. There have been at least a couple reports on versiontracker about some Applescript errors. I'd write the author or wait until a fix is released.

I ran the "fix permissions" utility and it totally FUBAR'd my disk permissions! Here's my Repaired permissions script from Disk Utility:

Pain in the rear and things are still not right. i don't trust Drive 10.1 to repair my permissions. Last time I did that, I couldn't boot up a friends TiBook w/o the install disk, had to reinstall in the end.

Runs like a charm again.
Xbench scores are higher than with newly installed system.
