After upgradeing to 10.2.4 I developed the modem disconnect issue on my tibook. I resolved that by swapping out a handful of ppp/modem related extensions for the 10.2.3 versions and that problem was solved.

Now, though, when I try to put the book to sleep, there is a long (maybe 20 second) pause before it goes to sleep. This is certainly preferable to the modem disconnects, but it would be nice not to have either problem.

Any thoughts?

Not sure if this is at all related to what you're experiencing, but I've noticed a delay whenever putting my GigaBook to sleep (10.2.3). I believe it's because the battery starts calculating how much time is left.

I have had some modem problems in the past 3 weeks, but they've disappeared. I'm not sure if there's a connection to this sleep-delayed behavior though. <shrug>
