I just got a new iMac flat-panel G4 system, and I saved the favorites from both IE and Safari on my external hard drive with the intention of putting the favorites back into the new browsers. Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to do that.
Can anyone out there tell me how to do this? I thought I had saved the right files, but maybe I didn't.
Thanks in advance for any and all replies.

For Safari:
/Users/*******/Library/Safari
For IE:
/Users/*******/Library/Preferences/Explorer
For Safari the file should be Bookmarks.plist
For IE the file should Favorites.html

I can hear the goose-steps getting closer.

Thanks so much for your response. Well, I got my Safari bookmarks back, but for some reason I have yet to figure out, the IE favorites still aren't back...but happily, the IE favorites, as it turns out, are part of my Safari bookmarks, so I should be able to export those bookmarks from Safari to IE, shouldn't I?

I take it you didn't save the Favorites.html file for IE. As for a easy way to get them back into IE from Safari, I couldn't find one. I spent about 20 minutes and came up blank. Sorry, but you can always cut and paste. It's sucks but at least you didn't lose anything vital. Maybe versiontracker has a solution.

Yup, cut and paste worked just fine. Thanks for your help. It's much appreciated.
