I forgot how much I really enjoyed using Chimera/Camino. I loved the Chimera name! Oh well. You call it Camino, I call it Chimer(o). Hehehe. I tried the tabbed Safari (leaked ver.62) and the tabs on it were not finished or looked as polished as Camino's. It's nice to have Camino back in my Apps folder and on my FruitMenu list. Thank you to the Camino team for all your efforts. Mac users do appreciate quality.

So they say that this is the last milestone based on the Mozilla 1.0 source trunk and future releases will be off the 1.3 source. Does that mean the new nightlies are from the 1.3, or at what point will that start?

So anyone know the reason for the name change? It's not explained on the site.

Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

Haven't noticed anything over the last one... text boxes keep up much better though, but that's it, and they're far from perfect... I can still type well ahead of the system.

Still the best browser around.

Agreed. Text boxes don't suck anymore. Having said that, there doesn't appear to be a spell checking feature at all. I've been using Safari for so long that I don't remember if Chimera 0.6 had this or not?

no it doesn't.
But I just find the Camino tabs are alot more refined and better though out, besides in Safari I got the spinning wheel too much.

OAW

Chimera/Camino never had spell check because it uses Gecko text fields rather than the Cocoa-based (NSTextViews) fields that are used in Safari. Supposedly NSTextViews will not be implemented until version 1.0. I still think this is a big problem for Camino http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=148098 I like the browser but the text input is pretty bad although it has improved.

There are already Camino threads in Software so there's no need to move it.
