On two of my Macs I am having the same problem with folders and icons disappearing and even changing their icon appearance. Sometimes the icons will change to all folder icons, or all image icons. This happens on my PowerBook G4 800MHz (DVI) and PowerMac dual 1.25GHz (MDD) -- both with OS X 10.2.4. The only way to stop this behavior is to log out and then log back in, but after a while the whole process of disappearing icons starts again. It is extremely aggravating . Anyone else having this problem or know how to solve it? This has been happening since OS X 10.2.2.
