If I have the newest mac in town, and it can't run OS9 anymore, Can I use CLASSIC to use my old software without problems????

Yes. The inability to boot natively into Mac OS 9 does not affect Classic functionality. Apple has made that clear to assuage fears like yours. Enjoy your new Mac.

No worries. Classic works great! I haven't booted into OS 9 in about a year. All my work is done in OS X except NMR processing (I haven't found a good OS X native program yet). I'm stuck using MacNMR in Classic.

Classic is running just fine over here. Make sure you have enough RAM in your system.

Depends on your software. Most of my audio apps don't work in OS X at all. Also, some application plugins aren't available in Carbon versions where the applications are.

Stink different.
