I need help. Both my Airport and Battery status icons disappeared. I even tried checking the box on Preferences to show both statuses with no avail. Everytime I reboot, both checkboxes were unchecked. Anyone?

Yes you're right. I switched themes, but I've done that before without any problems. This is the first time I'm seeing this issue. What did you do to fix it?

jambo i think it means your HD is full of errors or something. i'm really not the technical type with computers knowledgable with the details, but last nite i had to take my powerbook to a genius bar for a different problem and when i mentioned my battery indicator not showing up the genius said that its a HD related issue.

at the same time he did said that you could copy the files from a friend and it could possibly work again, but the underlying problem would remain and the best thing to do would be to reformat and do a clean reinstall.
