Can someone help me on my way please? I'm trying to find how i can see what files are open on my system and which app 'has' them. I used to have a prog on OS9 that did the trick, but i'm on X now, and i figure UNIX has some handy-dandy wizzardy to tell me...

try typing this in a terminal window:
