Hi,

I have a problem setting up OSX Server 10.2 my DPG4@450 with in an extra EthernetCard (Realtek) as a Gateway for may LAN.

Setup is like this: CableModem (DHCP lease) connected to PCI-Ethernet (en1) and LAN is connected to (en0) - because en1 is only 10/100 Mbaud and the internal Ethernet is 1000

1st of all, to establish a connection to the net, I have to change the "arrangement" of the EthernetPorts in the Networkpref.
In Preferences -> Network -> Network Port Configurations
I deleted the Built-in Ethernet and re-added it as new Interface.
With this little trick I was able to use the en1 as main Ethernetport and surf the web or share it with the Internet-sharing Button in the OS X client Version. In the latter case I just selected DHCP for the clients on the LAN and the DPG4 acted as Gateway. Nice!!

Problem with OS X Server: When changing the arrangement of the Network Ports in the Preferences, the App Server Settings (with which i am supposed to set p the DCHP network for the LAN) crashes

By setting up the DHCP config before changing the arrangement, I couldn't establish internet-sharing. Although the clients received a correct IP.

Any1 a clue !? Help would be appreciated, Thanx
