I've been using X11 with OpenOSX Office and Gimp as well as Fink installed FilmGimp.

Everything is working swell but I'd sure like to change the experience so that window focus would follow the cursor and not require a click in any given window to get it's attention. Maybe there is a reason some like window focus this way but it is not consistent with the Mac UI.

How can I can I change X11 so window focus follows the cursor??

Thanks, Dave

In any terminal or xterm:

defaults write com.apple.x11 wm_ffm true

Hey,
I gave that one a try too seeing as I've wanted this for a LONG time. It doesn't work at all for me. Any ideas? I did a defaults read, and got back:

"wm_ffm" = true;

but it still doesn't work. This is supposed to make window focus behave like most unixes where the mouse has to be over the window you're typing in?

Any ideas?

You have to be running beta 2 of Apple's X11, not 1.
