Hi. I have a HP CP1700 printer connected via USB. From OS 9 it prints fine. When working in OS X, the test pages print ok, but when I send to print from any application, it doesn't print. I always get the message that the print queue is stopped. I go to the print center, click on start jobs, shows that is opening printer connection and stops again. What's wrong? It's driving me crazy.

HP drivers are pure junk. Delete them and install HPIJS. I have never had a problem since.

MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE YOUR HP DRIVERS COMPLETLEY.

Then install this.

You will never have another problem with your HP printer.

Thanks Avon for the prompt response. I uninstalled the printer (I don't know if this removes ALL the drivers, if not, please let me know how to do it). then I installed the drivers from the link (espgs and hpijs).
Now I don't have any printer and when I try to ad one in the Print center, it shows via USB the name of my printer, but says that the drivers are not installed. What did I do wrong?
